Bahrain World Trade Center — Bahrain

Bahrain World Trade Center — Bahrain

The Bahrain World Trade Center is the world’s first wind-powered skyscraper, integrating large-scale wind turbines into the architectural design of a commercial high-rise development. Wind turbines are mounted on bridges connecting the twin towers, capturing prevailing coastal winds to generate on-site renewable power.

Murphy International supported development efforts associated with this landmark hybrid energy project, which set a global precedent for integrating renewable energy into urban architectural design and demonstrated the viability of wind power in commercial real estate applications.

Biglow Canyon Wind Farm — Oregon, USA

Biglow Canyon Wind Farm — Oregon, USA

Located on approximately 25,000 acres near Wasco in Sherman County, Oregon, the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm represents Portland General Electric’s largest renewable energy project. With a total installed capacity of 450 megawatts, the project significantly expanded utility-scale wind generation in the Pacific Northwest.

Murphy International contributed development and project expertise supporting large-scale wind deployment, reinforcing its experience in utility-grade renewable energy infrastructure.

Stillwater Geothermal — Nevada, USA

Stillwater Geothermal — Nevada, USA

The award-winning Stillwater facility is the first power plant in the world to combine medium-enthalpy binary cycle geothermal generation with both solar photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies. This hybrid approach delivers continuous baseload renewable power while enhancing overall system efficiency.

Murphy International arranged financing, supported acquisition efforts, and established operations and maintenance management services for the facility. The project also included expansion planning, demonstrating Murphy International’s long-term commitment to asset performance and optimization.

Strata Building — London, United Kingdom

Strata Building — London, United Kingdom

The Strata Building in London is the first building in the world to incorporate wind turbines directly into its structure. The integrated turbines generate sufficient energy to power the building’s common areas, showcasing innovative urban renewable energy design.

Murphy International supported development initiatives associated with this pioneering architectural energy project, reinforcing its role in hybrid and building-integrated renewable solutions.
